Anthropic Claude setup
5 stepsIn Claude Desktop, open Inference Configuration, then Connectors & extensions.
Under Managed MCP Servers, click + Add.
Set the name to "Polidata M365" and paste the server URL.
https://m365mcp.polidata.ai/mcpSet these fields, and leave every other field empty — headers, client credentials, authorization server, tenant ID, scope, scripts and callback overrides all stay blank.
Click Sign in & test and complete Microsoft sign-in.
Codex CLI setup
3 stepsAdd the server. Codex CLI and ChatGPT Codex desktop share one configuration, so this covers both.
codex mcp add polidata_m365_mcp --url https://m365mcp.polidata.ai/mcpSign in. The command opens Microsoft sign-in and returns to Codex.
codex mcp login polidata_m365_mcpConfirm the tools are there, then call the read-only server_info tool.

4 stepsOpen the app, then Edit > Settings…
Open the Plugins page, select the MCPs tab, then + Add Server.
Fill in the three fields.
Select Save, then sign in with Microsoft when prompted.
Reports invalid_client? Remove the connector and add it
again with Auto-register. Same display name is fine — registrations are stable for the same
callback configuration.
